Podcast: Howie Newman, Singer & Songwriter – Interview & Music – Hear His Stories and Music

NORTH SHORE (Podcast – Video – Photos) Howie Newman is singer and a songwriter. He is also a baseball fan and he has been a sportswriter having covered the World Series. Over the years he has performed in the greater Boston area and he continues to make appearances around the area. He has released six CDs, three full length albums and this past week he has just released his latest offering, It Sure Beats Workin’. A result of his many baseball interests, there is a display in the Baseball Hall of Fame featuring Newman’s “Dump the DH” campaign back in the 1980s. In this podcast Newman shares stories about his music, his sports writing career, and most importantly the music that he is performing today. Newman currently does solo performances as well as concerts with his duo “Knock on Wood”. He provides a unique combination of music, comedy, and audience participation. The podcast will feature the title song from his new album and two other of his original songs from earlier albums as well as many stories on his songwriting, performances, and of course baseball.
