LYNN – (Podcast) Arthur Akers is leading the Lynn community based College Application Education Project CAEP(CAEP) in assisting youth to further their education beyond high school. In a podcast, Akers shares information on the program regarding the community connections and the pathways his group is creating to help assist in student success. The organization has also started their annual fund raising campaign (ASK)

ASK: College Application Education Project, Inc. (C.A.E.P.) is requesting all C.A.E.P. Champions to rise and Caep 1support the program with donations before the end of 2018.

Student Successes:   A C.A.E.P. student ran for office as a Lynn City Councilor at Large – while he was a senior in college; A C.A.E.P. Mentor and Tutor, now an attorney has been recognized a one of the State’s outstanding business person; A once homeless C.A.E.P. Student participated in the C.A.E.P. First Jobs Program, recently won a scholarship for twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) College Application Education

GOALS:

A. Provide a minimum of Police Civil Service Examination books in preparation for the Lynn Police Department Police Civil Service Examination instructional classes;

A. Take at least four (4) college visits before the end of the year in 2018;caep 4

B. Hire four students for the Summer of 2018;

C. Hire one (1) Program Assistant by the end of 2018;

D. Raise One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) from individual donors by the end of 2018.

MISSION AND MOTTO ARE:

The mission of the College Application Education Project, Inc. is to set up an institutional mechanism and a caep 3community structure whereby parents and middle school and high school students of all cultures can receive direct college preparation. This training assists them with career development, college preparation, admissions, and financial applications.
