Suspect in Swampscott Woman’s Death Waives Extradition

According to Essex District Attorney spokesperson Carrie Kimball Monahan, Jason Fleury has waived extradition and is enroute back to Massachusetts to face murder charges.  He will be held overnight at the Massachusetts State Police Danvers Barracks and will be arraigned tomorrow morning in Salem Superior Court in connection with the death of Jaimee Mendez of Swampscott  Her remains were discovered on January 28, 2015 on King’s Beach in Swampscott.  Fleury was arrested by Massachusetts and Virginia State Police, Swampscott and Hampton, Virginia police Tuesday.
