LYNN – (Videos & Photos) The St. Mary’s football team (10-0) captured their third straight MIAA north title last weekend. Saturday the Spartans meet Mashpee (10-0) in a state D7 semi final game with the winner advancing to the MIAA D7 super bowl. Saturday’s eastern Mass final is at Braintree High School. (2 p.m.) Below are several interviews with St. Mary’s head coach Matt Durgin and players as they prepare for this weekend’s game.
MSO’s football player of the week is St. Mary’s running back James Brumfield. Last Friday night in the team’s 42-6 win over Brighton, Brumfield rushed for 232 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. Brumfield won the state decathlon championship in the Spring.
