Saugus Police Make an Arrest in Route One – Broadway Stabbing – Monday Update

SAUGUS — Chief Domenic DiMella reports that the Saugus Police Department arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred last night.

JOHN SEVIER, AGE 50, OF SAUGUS, is charged with the following:

• Assault Battery with Dangerous Weapon (to wit Knife)

• Attempted Murder

• Domestic Assault Battery

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 Saugus Police responded to the area of 74 Broadway for the report of a stabbing.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and is currently in stable condition.

SEVIER is being held at the Saugus Police station pending his arraignment in Lynn District Court.

This incident remains under investigation.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Saugus Police responded to the area of 74 Broadway for the report of a stabbing.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Saugus Police have a suspect in custody for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. There is no immediate threat to the public.

This incident remains under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
