Police Report from South Carolina

At approx. 4:15 PM this afternoon, 2 of our white collar investigators observed a white male at the intersection of Hwy. 9 and 4th St. in Boiling Springs holding a sign soliciting money. Our investigators got out with the male in the parking lot of McDonald’s, informed him soliciting was illegal, and arrested him without incident. After asking for his vital information, they ran his name and date of birth through the National Crime Information Center and learned that he was wanted for a double homicide in Peabody, Massachusetts, and a carjacking from Boston, Massachusetts. The vehicle stolen in the carjacking incident was recovered from the Waffle House parking lot next door to the McDonald’s. The suspect is Wes Cameron Doughty, W/M, DOB: 082277, 385 Andover St., Danvers, Massachusetts, 01923. Both law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts were notified of his arrest, and he was transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Facility. He was given a  ticket for Solicitation on a Highway, and he will be issued a warrant for Fugitive from Justice. A copy of his warrant is not available at this time, and his booking photo should appear on our detention facility website later tonight.
