GLOUCESTER – Gloucester’s new hotel, located on Fort Square where the former Birdseye Building once stood, is almost ready for business, according to Cruise Port Gloucester owner and hotel project director, Sheree DiLorenzo Zizik. The hotel has 94 rooms, including 18 suites with living rooms and bedrooms, a grand ballroom, called the Pavillion Ballroom, that will accommodate 300, a meeting room that holds 180, a gift shop, a tavern, and a Grand Staircase with a view of Gloucester’s iconic “Greasy Pole.”
