NEC High School Football: Lynn Classical Hangs on for 21-19 Win at Gloucester – Watch Game On Demand Now

GLOUCESTER – The Lynn Classical Rams pummeled Gloucester in the first half, scoring three touchdowns and holding Gloucester to 21 yards total offense before the Fishermen counterpunched in the second half.  Scoring on their first three possessions of the second half, the Fishermen racked up 201 yards of offense, while holding the Rams to 33.  The difference in the game turned out to be a missed 2-point conversion attempt by Gloucester in the fourth quarter.

Lynn Classical’s junior quarterback, Keith Ridley, accounted for all three Rams scores:  a 44 yard TD pass to Nashaun Butler, a 4 yard keeper, and a 36 yard pass to Tyrese Joseph.

Gloucester’s TDs were scored by Jan Pena Ortiz on a 26 yard run, Ryan Argentino on a 1 yard run, and Matt Smith on a 35 yard run.

Lynn Classical is now 4-0, while Gloucester is now 3-1.
