Beverly, MA – According to the Essex District Attorney’s Office, investigators have identified the man found deceased in a sailboat that washed ashore at Lynch Park in Beverly yesterday as Alexander Sachs, 76, of Gloucester. The sailboat, “Etoile” was registered to Mr. Sachs. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death but the initial investigation indicates that Mr. Sachs suffered a medical event while sailing. No foul play is suspected at this time.
