LYNN – The Essex District Attorney’s Office announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Sean Chandler, 29, of Gloucester (last known address) in connection with the fatal shooting of Donald Yancy, 38 of Lynn last evening.
Lynn Police responded to 6 Breed Square, Apt. 1 last night at approximately 10:15 pm, after they had been told a man had been shot there. Upon arrival they found Mr. Yancy suffering from a gun shot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim and the suspect are well known to each other and witnesses reported that they had had a disagreement immediately prior to the shooting.
Mr. Chandler is 5’11” and weighs 180 lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous and should NOT be approached. Anyone with information of his possible whereabouts are asked to contact the Lynn Police.
The Essex District Attorney’s Office continues to investigate this matter with assistance from MSP detectives assigned to the DA’s Office, Lynn Police and other MSP assets.
