GLOUCESTER – Gloucester’s Christian Sanfilippo (18 carries, 211 yards, 4 touchdowns) scored 3 times in the 2nd quarter on runs of 13, 45, and 33 yards to give the Fishermen (3-1) a 21-0 halftime lead on their way to a 34-14 win over Revere (0-4). Each team had 14 play drives in the first quarter, but Revere was unable to score until late in the third quarter.
Sanfilippo’s other touchdown was a 33 yard sweep in the third while Gloucester’s final score was a 10 yard TD scamper by Jan Pena-Ortiz.
Revere’s scores came on a 1 yard keep by QB Ed Sullivan and a 6 yard run by Jon Murphy.
Nate Young had 2 interceptions on defense for the Fishermen and made a touchdown saving tackle with great second effort on an 85 yard run by Revere’s Victor Rivera.
Gloucester had a total of 311 yards on offense.
Gloucester plays Winthrop in East Boston next Friday night, while Revere will host Saugus
