GLOUCESTER – (Audio, Video) The Gloucester Fishermen (7-2-1, 10-6-4) closed out their regular season losing to the Lynnfield Pioners (6-4-2, 12-5-2) tonight at the Talbot Rink by a score of 3 to 1.Tied 1-1 after the first period on goals by Lynnfield’s Cooper Marengi, who scored at 10:52 followed 35 seconds later by a goal from Gloucester’s John-John Modello, the Pioneers tallied twice in the third period to salt the game away.
Tyler Murphy put Lynnfield out in front with a power play goal at 1:00 into the third, and George DeRoche added another goal at 12:11. Murphy also had two assits and Marngi one. Derek Hopkins assisted on the lone Gloucester goal.
