MSO Radio OnDemand – Danvers Wins Big over Peabody

DANVERS (Update) – The Danvers Falcons (2-0) limited the Peabody Tanners (1-1) offense to just 145 total yards enroute to a 30 to 3 win Friday night at Doctor Deering Stadium.  Once again the Falcons were led on offense by Matt McCarthy (3 touchdowns, 18 carries for 80 yards; 3 catches for 80 yards0) who spearheaded a total output of 341 yards from scrimmage.  Quarterback Brandon Treacy threw for two touchdowns, including on to McCarthy that covered 44 yards, and another to Ezra Lombardi for 52 yards.  Max Leete added a 27 yard field goal tand 3 PAT kicks.

Austin Legget booted a 40 yard field goal for the Tanners only score.

Danvers led 17 to 3 at the half.

Peabody travels to Marblehead and Danvers visits Medford next Friday.
