Senior Lauren Flynn outside hitter has 8 kills and served at 100% and had 9 digs

Senior middle hitter Cecily Szady had 6 kills and served at 100%

Senior setter Jaidin Hartley ward had 7 digs and 10 assists

Junior Vanessa Brown outside hitter  played really well for the generals tonight!

Tonight was our Brest Cancer Awareness fundraiser night run by Captain Cecliy Szady. All proceeds from the bake sale and donations are for the Dana Farber Cancer center

Tonight’s win put Ipswich in the playoffs with a 9-6 record!  Haley O’Connor, Talia Kaplanian, Claudia Bauman and Lilly Sheridan had multiple aces and served consistently with power and accuracy.  Ava Warren and Ava Huntley played a strong all around game. Teamwork and intensity were strong by all and we are excited for our remaining games to push hard for wins to earn a good playoff seed.

From Generals’ Coach Nancy Waddell:
Despite a strong effort by the Generals’ defense (Juniors Shae Granese and Megan Peterson, and sophomores Maddy Rivers and Belle Dolan), Newburyport scored the only goals of the afternoon.  Addie Condon contributed 7 saves.
The Generals (3-8-3) play Wednesday night in Amesbury.
