AMHERST – The Beverly Panthers (9-5-4) ended up in a tie with Westfield High School (12-2-1) this afternoon, 1-1. The Panthers will be heading home after they watch the Boston University at UMass hockey game at the Mullins Center.

BEVERLY – Following their tough loss to Danvers 4-3 at the Bourque Arena at Endicott College Wednesday night, the Beverly Panthers head to UMass for an afternoon game with Westfield at the Mullins Center. Wednesday’s game saw the NEC Champion Danvers Falcons.(12-1-0, 10-0-0) defeat the Beverly Panthers (9-5-3, 5-4-2) with a furious 3rd period outburst on offense. Trailing 2-1 going into the third period, Danvers scored three goals in the first 6 minutes of the final frame to win, 4-3. Conor Purtell tallied twice for the Falcons.
