Gloucester Boat Fire

Gloucester – Gloucester firefighters extinguished a small engine fire aboard the 38 foot charter boat  ” Amanda Marie” at just after 12:30 p.m. Monday.  Officials say the boat is owned by Mike Parisi.  The Coast Guard was notified of the boat fire as it was just off the Boulevard along Western Avenue.  Gloucester firefighters jumped aboard the vessel at the ramp along side the Tavern and quickly put out the fire.  No injuries were reported as the Gloucester Harbormaster assisted along with the Coast Guard and Gloucester police boat.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
