NEC High School Football: Gloucester Beats Danvers in Defensive Struggle, 13-7

GHS Football WinGloucester – Danvers (8-4) scored the game’s first touchdown on a 4th down play from the Gloucester (9-2) 16 on a completion from Matt Andreas to Kieran Moriarty with 3:16 left in the third quarter.  With the Falcons leading 7-0, Gloucester scored 53 seconds later as Christian Sanfilippo ripped off a 78-yard run to tie the score at 7.  Sanfilippo scored the game winner at 10:50 of the fourth quarter from 51 yards away  and Gloucester’s defense manage to keep the Danvers offense in check the rest of the way.  Sanfillipo finished with 182 of his team’s 186 total yards. The Falcons were held to 119 yards total offense.
