Friday Sports Now: Beverly Could Name Football Coach Next Week – Games today – Sports Notebook

NORTH SHORE – The interviewing process has started to fill the open Beverly head football coaching position vacated by Dan Bauer, leaving to become principal at Marblehead High School at the end of the current school year. The interviewing process may end next week with an announcement coming from the Beverly High School with the naming of a new football coach.

In high school sports today…baseball games to watch include: Lynn Classical at Saugus, Peabody at Gloucester, Marblehead at Lynn English, Beverly at Winthrop, and Salem at Revere. Check back later for score updates.

Both the Gordon College and Endicott College baseball teams have road doubleheaders today. Salem State baseball will play at Fitchburg State tomorrow.

North Shore Sports Night (NSSN), the north shore’s sports talk show airs this Monday night at 7 p.m. with hosts Rick Moore and Tim Kearns.

Danvers boys lacrosse came up with a major win against Peabody yesterday 8-7. The Falcons trailed 7-2 in the third quarter. Freshman Brendan Treacy scored the tying and winning goals for Danvers for their first win of the season.

The St. Mary’s girls basketball team held their end of season banquet this week, Marnelle Garraud was honored as the team MVP.
