Gloucester Mayor Issues State on Tax Classificaton

Gloucester Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken: “We had a packed house for last night’s Special City Council Meeting discussing tax classification rate shifts for the next fiscal year. Once the veto overturn failed, the original proposal by our administration for a 1.03% tax classification for FY2018 was successfully voted 6-3. Glad that we are able to maintain rates that have brought us success and happy to resolve this matter after passionate dialogue. Thank you all who came out to show your support! We will work with the Council, businesses, and residents always to ensure success in our community today and well into the future too.”
