Double Fatality on Lynnway This Morning – State Police ID Deceased – Press Release

Massachusetts State Police Release:  State Police Investigating Double-Fatal Crash on Lynnway

UPDATE:  The deceased are identified as SALVADOR QUINONES, 26, of Boston and SILVIA RODAS-DUGAL, 25, of Chelsea. The cause of the crash and remaining circumstances are still under investigation.  The roadway was completely re-opened to traffic at approximately 6:10 a.m.

At 2:28 a.m. Massachusetts State Troopers responded to a single-car crash on the Lynnway (Route 1A) in Lynn in the area of Blossom Street. The crash resulted in fatal injuries to the two occupants of the vehicle, a male and a female.

Preliminary investigation indicates that, for reasons still under investigation, the victims’ sport utility vehicle left the roadway and struck a building housing a Dunkin Donuts on the northbound side. After impact with the building the vehicle came to rest in the middle northbound lane. Both victims were ejected and determined to be deceased at the scene.

The crash is under investigation by troopers from the State Police Barracks in Revere with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
