Tonight, the unbeaten North Reading Hornets (5-0) spotted the Gloucester Fishermen (2-4) 2 goals in the first period before applying continuous pressure that resulted in a 3-2 win. Ed Field tapped home the first Gloucester goal on a nice setup by Ethan Brennan at 8:57 of the first period to give Gloucester the early lead. The Fishermen made it 2-0 54 seconds later on a John-John Mondello goal with Brennan and Chris Noyes drawing the assists.
Matt Gravalese got the Hornets going in the second frame, scoring an unassisted goal at 2:28 as the result of a turnover. Matt Corrieri tied the game with another unassisted goal after a Gloucester giveaway at 13:30 to tie the game after two.
Collin Chase blasted home the game winner from the point at 4:12 of the third period with North Reading in a power play. Corrieri and James Doran picked up the assists.
