The Blackburn Challenge, a “20+mile circumnavigation of Cape Ann over open water,” was a major challenge Saturday, with many participants unable to finish. With winds our of the northeast at 10-15 knots and more, many participants on paddleboards and other small craft were unable to finish. MSONEWSports recorded some of the participants in rough seas off Gloucester’s Back Shore as they made their way toward Eastern Point.
