Associate Professor Krystal Demaine, Rockport High Class of ’96, Teaches Endicott Students to Help Through Creative Art Therapy

BEVERLY – (Radio & Video interviews)  Krystal Demaine, PhD., and Associate Professor at Endicott College, teaches students how to help others through creative art therapy.  A Rockport High School graduate, Doctor Demaine went on to pursue her undergraduate degree at Berklee before attaining her masters at Cambridge College, and her doctorate at Leslie.  She will be giving a presentation this Friday from noon to 12:45 at Endicott College of her recent trip to Hong Kong , where she presented her research at the International Expressive Arts Therapy Conference (see video below); and she explains what Creative Art Therapy is and does in the radio interview:

 

Fridays in the Rose: Music and Art Worldwide

 

BEVERLY Endicott College proudly announces the next event in its “Fridays in the Rose” series: Music and Art Worldwide. On Friday, February 5th from 12:0012:45 PM, Creative Art Therapy Professor Krystal Demaine, and Performing Arts Chair Becca Kenneally offer a glimpse into their work overseas this year. The presentation will be held in the Rose Performance Hall at the Walter J. Manninen Center for the Arts, 376 Hale Street Beverly, MA and is free and open to the public. There is an appetizer reception to follow.

 

Demaine visited Hong Kong to present her research at the International Expressive Arts Therapy Conference, and Kenneally participated in the American Choral Directors International Conductors Exchange in Stockholm, Sweden. Each professor has returned with insights and ideas inspired by their trips.
